Let the holiday season begin!!
We had a great time on Saturday, we went to spend the day with Grand-Papa guy up north. It was a such a beautiful day that we even went for a nice walk outside. It was snowing lightly and you were just loving it!
Aunt Nathalie, uncle Pat, Paolo and Julian arrived shortly after for our wonderful Christmas dinner. You were so happy to see Uncle Pat and everyone one, you ran to the door to great them. After a short while we decided to give out the Xmas gifts. You were so sweet, you did not care about your gifts, you just wanted to distribute the gifts for everyone else. There is one thing about you that I have to admit and be proud of is that you love to share and you always say "thank you".
We left up north at around 9:30 and you were sound asleep by 9:33. As you were so tired and you had such a full day and I knew that tomorrow was going to be as busy with the Santa Clause parade at Two Mountain with Julie's family.
Sure enough, Sunday morning before the parade, you were having so much fun with all your new toys that I believe it tired you out - lol - as you were down stairs in your fathers arms at around 10:00am and next thing we knew, you were sound asleep in his arms. I took you from him so your dad could do a few things around the house and then within 10 minutes you were just snoring. So I laid you down on the couch with your blanket and you slept for over 2 hours, which you have not done in a very long time at the house, boy you were tired.
Once you woke up, we dressed you warmly and got ready to meet up with Julie, Samantha and Sabrina and of to the parade we went. You were in heaven just watching was was around you and all those marching bands, you were in a "AAhh' mode. You were just watching and absorbing everything with a smile on your face. You would go in my arms then on your fathers shoulders then back in my arms, you just did not want to miss anything.
The last float was with Santa Clause, and you saw him coming, you were so happy, you kept telling me you were there ( Le Pere Noel est la) you kept saying, it was sweet.
Now, being Sunday evening, you are sound asleep and I hope you have wonderful dreams of this weekend, as I know I will.

What a joy you are.. yes, I keep saying that but it is so true, each day you make me smile and laugh, there is something about you that I just love and adore... and always will.
Today, I had to share what you have been up to that has been so much fun and that is we are babysitting a dog called Zeus for 10 days and let say that you are enjoying this so much, you love feeding Zeus and giving him water each day. Each morning you get up and ask for him and just can't wait to give him a hug or a kiss. And when you are back from daycare, you make sure you say hi to Zeus. What a character you are! and Zeus is just loving the attention too. He is a great dog that lets you pet him, kiss him and hug him too.
I had to attache a few pictures and a video, as I know you will forget about Zeus when he leaves, but for me, the memories will always be there!

Christmas is around the corner and we were able to see Santa Clause yesterday. Would you believe that he landed by helicopter close to our house, yup that is right, at the Gallerie Des Source, we were waiting for him to land, and he did! it was so exciting to see your face when you saw the helicopter, words can't describe it. Then we waiting in line to get your picture taken with him and you were so brave, you did not cry! Next thing you notice was a train that was going around inside the mall, so we waiting in line for your turn and once again you were so patient. It was such a fun family day we all had.
Now I can't wait for Christmas as we have so many gifts for you!

Last week we took you to get your hair cut. I have to admit that I normally do not go as you get so upset, as you cry so much and you look so scared that it just break my heart. So your father normally goes with you. But last week, I told myself that I wanted to be there for you and to surprise you. You were so happy to see me, you jumped in my arms and you were just smiling away until you realized that you were still getting your hair cut - ops - so the hairdresser gave you a lollipop and then I sat down on the chair with you. You were not crying just yet, so I explained to you that when you used your scissor as day care, it doesn't hurt, so it will be same thing, you seemed not to mind as I was explaining you what was going to happened, but all to say she never used the scissors, she used the razor - ops - lol - so I had to change my story real fast, so as she started to cut your hair, I was asking you what kind of sound it was making, I asked you if it was the sound of an elephant, you said no, then I asked you if it was a sound of a lion, you said no, then I asked you, what sound was it? with no hesitation, you said; a bee, you were so proud. By the time we named more animals, your hair cut was done and you never cried. Your father was in the mall looking in and he saw how brave you were. We were so proud of you!

What a brave little boy you were on November 5th.
I picked you up at daycare so you can go for your annual check up at the doctors, and I have to admit, I was more nervous then you were. As each time we go, you just cry so much of fear, even before Dr. Loyer sees you. But not that day! We got there early and you were playing with a few toys and you were content.
Once she called you in, you just smiled and looked around. She check your heart, your ears and your mouth, and you never said boo. You were not smiling but you were not crying either, which was a good thing....until she asked me if I wanted to give you the flu shoot. I thought about it for a few minutes and told myself, you are in daycare, better be safe then sorry. So, Dr Loyer gave you your shoot. Oh boy... you were not happy, as it did pinch a little and it is normal for you to be upset. I have to say you cried for a good 2 minutes then I asked you to make the sound of the elephant for Dr. Loyer, you were so proud as you did it. What a brave little boy you were that day! Before we left, she gave you a sticker of a "Bee" you just loved it as you made the sound of the bee for a good 10 minutes and keept telling me; Maman abeille.
So, as a reward of you being so good, you and I went to McDonald and played in the games. You were so happy, you eat a bit of chicken nuggets, drank all your chocolate milk and of course ate all your french fries. Then we surprised you by you turning around and seeing your father waling in. He came to join us. We had so much fun all three of us!

Well Halloween came and went and of course we dressed you up!
You were Woody (as in Toy Story) at day care, you even wore your hat and brought in with you your action figure to show everyone that you were dress like him, and of course they all thought you were just adorable. At around 10:30am, I came to surprise you and I was dressed up as a cow. I came into your class room and saw a little song to you and your classmates and gave each of you a bag of candies. You were looking at me and I can see in your eyes you were not to sure. I was just happy you did not cry. The best part is that you never knew it was me!
Once I picked you up from daycare, I asked you if you had a fun day, and you said; yes, then I asked you if you saw a cow and you said' yes, and then I asked you if she was nice and you said; yes, phew LOL.
On Sunday, Halloween day, we went to Pointe-Claire mall to get you winter boots and dressed you up as Elmo, you just loved it and once again people would stop just to look at you as you were just having fun in the mall chasing a balloon and not realizing that you were Elmo.
Once we got home, you made your very own Halloween cookies for the first time, you were funny as you kept looking a the oven and wanted to eat them right away, but I kept telling you that they were not ready yet, but oh boy, once they were ready, you were in heaven, I believe you ate at least 3 sugar cookies and kept saying; c'est bon, c'est bon - lol - you made me laugh!
That afternoon we went to another mall Gallerie Des Sources as all the vendors there were giving out candies, so it was nice to see all the children with there Halloween custumes on. And oh boy did you get a lot of candies. I am not sure you knew what was going on, but you were saying merci and trick a treat a lot - lol - lol You were so much fun to watch. Your dad and I were just smiling from ear to ear!
We finished off that evening at Mamie's, we did not stay long as you were tired. It was a long day for you, that is for sure, you were happy to be home and back to your toys.
Monday was another special day. It was your dad's birthday, so we all went to Scores for dinner, Mamie joined us with Doug, Grand-papa and Grand-maman Proulx were there too with your God father Carl. It was fun.
Once we were finished the meal, it was time for the birthday cake an we all sang Bonne Fete to Papa in French and you were so excited and you even helped your dad blow the candles out. What a fun evening it was! It is always fun with you in our life!

You are now 2 years old! oh boy!
What a great party you had for your birthday. We did it at Mamie's house as we were so many of us. All your aunts and uncles and cousins were there and Marilyn and her daughter and Julie and her whole family and Lucie with her twin daughter, Chantal and Richard, Jaqueline and Katherine, Manon and her daughter Sarah-Mai and your Aunt Leona. You were so happy to see everyone. You just loved the attention. We sang Bonne Fete Alexandre about 3 times during the day and you just loved it. You would clap or say "Encore". You made everyone laugh and made them feel special as you would go and see them and just give them a hug.
When it came to opening the gifts, oh boy, you were in heaven, not to sure if it was the gifts or the tissue paper you like but you were just having fun! Then it was cake time after dinner, we ordered you a chocolate cake with a "finding Nemo" fish. Your eyes and your smile just got bigger as you saw the fish on the cake. It was so much fun to watch your reaction. I have to admit that you eat all your piece of cake too! Then we would ask you, quel age a tu? and you would reply with a big smile "j'ai 2 ans" and made everyone laugh.
What a beautiful day it was to be with family and friends to celebrate your 2nd birthday.

What a fun family we had once again, we went apple picking! it was so much fun. You were in haven when we parked the car and started to walk towards the entrance. There was a small farm with a horse, a donkey, goats, sheeps, baby pigs, ducks, rabbits and you got to feed them too! You father showed you how to hold your hand to feed them and you did it! it was fun to watch. Then we stood in line to go apple picking, I think you were overwhelmed when you saw all the trees with the apples, so you picked one and you started to eat it. After that, we had a nice pique-nique and then you played in the "park" section, there was so many slides, you just did not know where to go - lol - I think you played there for a good 30 minutes then it was time for your tractor ride -OH Boy! what a smile you had, plus, they even let you sit on the tractor so we can take pictures. It was such a great day! I am hoping to this again next year!

I wanted to write to you today because there is so much I wanted to tell you and I just did not want to forget...
You will be two years old in a few weeks and I wanted to let you know at 23 months what you like and don't like and what you do, so I figured I better write it down before I forger as you are growing up so fast!
Lets see, I have say that your favorite animal is an Elephant, you love make the sound and you smile each time. You also do lots of different animal sounds too like; a cow, a cat, a lion, a dragon, a sheep, a dog and you grin each time you do it too. And if we ask you the colour of an article you always say "jaune' - just seems that yellow is your favorite colour or word, not to sure yet, you do talk a lot, you say a lot; Je veut sa or Papa/Maman assie. Or you will say "en bas" as lots of your toys are in the basement and so much more.
You are getting independent each day, you can go up and down the stairs going towards your bedroom, you hold on to each bar one by one but you do get to the bottom or top so proud. You sometimes hold our hands, but you prefer doing it alone.
Yesterday, you took me by surprise as we went for our first train ride to meet your father downtown and as we were walking, you started to sing, first I had no clue what you were saying but then I realized that you were actually singing - la la la la la bong bong bong bong - la la la la la bong bong. Alexandre you were so adorable, it was so funny to watch, then I started to sing with you and that made you even happier!
I have to admit that I understand you 90%, your vocabulary is just expanding and I know that you understand a lot too. It is so much fun.
Now, I don't want to forget your dad, as he is your best playing partner. You play hide and seek with him, and you always find him or he finds you. It is so funny as when he finds you, you run to me just laughing your little heart out and you say "encore" "encore". Then after your bath, all three of us play ring a round a rosie, we normally do it 3 times but you do ask for that game each night and you always make sure that all three of us are playing together. You are so funny!
Lets talk about bed time. We always kept a routine with you. After dinner we play, then at around 7:00pm it is bath time and your father normally gives you your bath and you just love it. Then you come back down and sit on the couch while you drink your milk. Once it gets close to 8:00pm, we tell you that it will be bed time soon. You normally look at us and start to walk towards the stairs. Next thing we know you are going up the stairs to go to bed. There is not crying or screaming, you just go up like a big boy. Now, when you go up the stairs, your father is behind you and I tell you that I love you, then you stop and give me a kiss and smile.
What a fun child you are! you smile, you say bye-bye to everyone, you give your daycare friends a hug each time you leave and then wave and send them a kiss. Everyone finds you so adorable. And we can't forget the high five that you have been doing for a long while.

Where did the summer go Alexandre?
Wow, here we are the last day of August and I am planing your birthday party, I can't believe you will be two in 27 days. Wow.
Well, we finished off the summer with a great family vacation. We went to Maine, Old Orchard Beach (OOB) and we had a great time. Mamie came with us and we rented a nice suite. It had so much to offer and more. There was a nice indoor pool in which we all went one day and a nice playground for you to play with, you loved the tree house and the swings. I believe you father took you there each day as Mamie and I were getting things ready for the beach for for dinner.
What was also great about this vacation is that your uncle Carl and aunt Francine were at the beach with us for one day and Tante Chantal et Oncle Richard were there too for a bit longer so they had a chance to play with you at the beach, you went for a nice walk with them and you were even jumping the waves with them and laughing your little heart out, so much that you were making them laugh as well. What pleasure it watch you having so much fun! And that is not including all the sand castles your father did for you! And you going to the ocean with Mamie.
It is a great feeling seeing you grow in so many ways. It is breath taking and you always put a smile on my face and a tear of joy in my eyes. I love you so much!

We had such a busy 4 days.. from Thursday (Canada day) till Sunday. I have to admit you are so tired... but boy did you have fun!
Your father took off 2 days of work so we can all be together, so we started on Canada Day, we went to Two Mountain to meet up with Julie and her two daughters. There was activities there for everyone. So we made sure that you did as much as you could. You and your father went on a train ride and you were in your glories, just smiling away. Then we went to see could get you a prize, so we bought some coupons and guess what, you, yourself won! you had to let a ball go down a ramp and if you got more then 100 points, you won. Your score was 160, you pick a pink bear that had a sleeper. You were so happy!
Friday, we went to Cap St-Jacques beach, we spend a good 4 1/2 hours there. The weather was great. We brought your shovels, beach toys and pail and you were in heaven. You did no care to much about going into the water but the puddles, that is a different story. You were just glued to the puddles of water and you were just kicking and having a great time! Your father and I just laughed so much.
Saturday, we went to a friends house for a gathering, we were about 10 families at Genevieve but the best part was all the other families had children your age. You had a blast! Hugo is a few months younger then you and he would always come and see you. And the toys that family had, it was unbelievable, you loved going on the swing, on there wagon, in the children's pool and there Little Tike's slide and that is not even mentioning the big pool you went in with your father. What a great day.
Sunday, we just relaxed. We went to see Mamie for a little bit, then we went to the pool, then your father took you to the park in the afternoon. All to say that you never argued to go to bed as you are so tired from this long but great weekend!

Sunday, we just relaxed. We went to see Mamie for a little bit, then we went to the pool, then your father took you to the park in the afternoon. All to say that you never argued to go to bed as you are so tired from this long but great weekend!

We had a great St-Jean Baptiste day, we all went to Beaconsfield to celebrate the activities, even though it was not a nice day as the rain was on it's way, we still manage to do so much we you. We feed goats, lamas and you were having so much fun! we even went on a nice "wagon" ride which 2 horses were pulling the wagon. The smile on your face was priceless.
We stopped by to see you uncle Luc and the whole family was there. Victoria offered to take you in the pool and the hot tub! mind you it was poring rain at that point and all the kids were having fun outside, so how can I say no. So in the pool you went. Victoria was holing on to you so tight and you were just having so much fun, you just wanted in there all afternoon. It was great!

Our family day at Granby Zoo!
What a fun day we had, your father took the day off on a Friday so we can all be together and have a fun family day! So we packed the car and off we went. We got there at 9:15am and it was a perfect time to go. We started with "Porte D'afrique" and saw zebras, rhinoceros, elephants and giraffes. Your face was priceless, you had the biggest smile on your face, you were just running around to try to see everything and you were pointing your finger with excitement as you wanted to see more. It was so much fun to watch you!
After lunch we went on the monorail and you just loved it as for you it was a train up in the air. We also went to the mini farm and that is where you feed the goats and saw other farm animals too; like a pig, miniature horses, sheeps... then off the the mini amusement park they have. Since you are still a little guy and you are not 39 inches tall yet, your dad went with you on a few rides, you loved the Marie-go-round horse, so we did that one twice and we also went on a small train ride. You were in your glory.
We left at around 3:00pm as we were all getting tired, I believe you feel asleep as soon as we got out of the parking lot on the way home as one minute you are smiling at us then you just drifted off, you were so tired that you slept for close to 2 hours.
We had such a fun family day Alexandre. I can't wait to do it again. Maybe next time it will be the water park... who knows.

Boy did we have fun or I should say you had fun!!
We spent the who day at Marilyn's, starting from noon. You were playing with Elizabeth and Katherine and having a great time on the swing, you were just smiling away! Then by three everyone else showed up; Julie, Christian, Samantha, Sabrina, Brandon, Halard, Atilio and his son Benicio. There was so many children there, it was great.
Your father took out the Crockett set at one point and all the kids wanted to play, especially you. You were just observing and then you wanted try to do the same thing. Even thou the mallets were to big, you did not seem to mind, you just wanted to hit that ball, your just a smart little guy.
By 8:30pm, it was time to go, so we put your PJ's on and withing seconds you were sleeping in the car. Quiet as can be, so we gently put you to bed once we got home.
I love the summer! There will be much more days like this to come!

What a nice long 3 day weekend you had!
On Saturday you went to visit your grand-parents Proulx and had a ball on there outdoor swing, you had a big smile on your face and you just love swings! Once you got home, your father put in the air- conditioning and you and I played outside, you wanted to go in your wagon all after noon and look around. You were just having fun! then you would get out and walk around and look at the squirrels and pick at the few dandelions we have left and smell them. You just love being outside!
On Sunday, we all went to the park and you had such a big smile, you were on the swing just laughing away, then you went on the slide and of course finished with the sand in your hair! we were there for a good hour. It was time to leave as we had to go to Mamie's b-day lunch in the afternoon. Let me tell you, you were not to pleased when it was time to go but once we told you that we were going to see Mamie, your face lite up and we saw that smile of yours again. Once we got to Mamie's she had a surprise for you, she had a pool waiting for you, so you were in your glories. I put on your bathing suit and in you went. You had full of toys and you were so content! It was so much fun just
watching you have fun.
On Monday, you and I went to see your aunt Nathalie as your father went to work, we had a great time, we went shopping and got you new P.J's, a book, a truck for the park and a water toy so when we go to someones house, we can just attache it to the hose. We stayed the whole day and you even washed uncle Pat's care and mommy's car. But I think you just having fun with the sponge and he hose LOL
What a great time we all had. You are such a joy!

A year ago you arrived here in here! at your new home! Oh what a day it was, I remember it so well. You were so amazing. Once you got to the airport and saw everyone, you were just looking around and taking everything in! There was so many people waiting for you at the airport. You made everyone so happy that day as they all knew that you were now part of our family and that they were going to love you, hug you and be with you forever! You never cried, you just smiled away! What a brave little boy you were and are.
I can't believe you will be 2 years old soon...September 26th and Alexandre, you are doing well, you weight 21lb and your height is 30 inches. So you are growing for sure, you are becoming such a little man!

You got "sick" for the first time Alexandre, May 14th, you started to have a fever at daycare and they told us to keep an eye on you, which we did and by Saturday morning your fever was up to 103.00 which made us panic a little as of course you were not yourself and you seemed so much in pain.
So we went to the clinic right away and the doctor that saw you told us you caught "the tongue and foot virus" meaning you had white spots on your tongue and on your feet and the only thing we could give you was Tylenol for children to keep your fever down and for the pain. Your father and I felt so bad for you, you could not drink or eat as it would just hurt you. But I have to admit you were strong, you still tried drinking and eating a little. By Monday night, you were better, not 100% but at least 80%. On Tuesday morning, you had your smile back and you were back on dancing in front of the TV with your stuff animals, next thing I knew, you wanted to go outside for a walk in the stroller, which we did and by 8:15am you were fine to go back to daycare. When we walked in you had a semi smile and realized that all your friends were there, you went to Genevieve's' arms with no hesitation. I was so proud of you. I went to get you at 4:30 that day and I can see that you had a long day as you were still not 100%- meaning you were still tired but your fever was gone and your spots. Your teacher Oussama told me to bring you back tomorrow as you will bounce back in no time as I was not to sure what to do. But your garderie is just amazing, they all love you and they know what to do. ;o)

Where did the month of April go Alexandre?
Let me tell you, we have been so busy, Mommy got sick with pneumonia and had to be at the hospital for a total of 10 days, it was so hard for me as I missed you every night, thank goodness your dad brought me a picture of you as I would kiss it each day and tell you that I would be home soon. But you were amazing too during that time! You went to day care everyday without a fuss as now you just love going, I think you enjoy being with other children and playing with all the toys they have. And on two different occasion, Aunt Sandra baby sat you for the day. She told me that you were having so much fun with your cousins; Victoria, Matthew, Isabelle and Mark. Aunt Sandra brought you to Matthew's hockey game and you were just cheering them and just loved the music they were playing at each period. Everyone though you were cute. But I could have told them that - lol - Aunt Sandra just loved having you around. Mamie also took you to McDonald a few times, you love playing in the children section and so does Mamie! Boy everyone loves being with you.
Last night, you had a nice surprise, Grand-papa Guy came with me to pick you up at daycare and you were so happy to see him, I would ask you where is Grand-papa Guy and you would just point at him. You are so smart Alexandre considering that you have not seen Grand-papa Guy for close to 5 months in person but only in pictures and you still knew who he was. He had dinner with us, and you loved it, you kept looking at him and just smiling away and giving him what ever you had in your hand. I can tell that Grand-papa was very happy to see you and was very please that you knew who he was after all these months.
Now you are 19 months old and you are getting so tall and each day you are just getting smarter and smarter. I love teaching you new things each day and I can see in your eyes and in your smile of happy you are. I love you so much. There is not a day you don't make me laugh!

4 time now at the day care.... and so far you are a trooper! You do cry when we get to the Garderie but Usama or Pat are waiting for you with open arms. I have to say that after 2- 3 minutes, I don't hear you anymore and when I come and pick you up, you are having so much fun with your friends or you are just sitting down with one of your toys that you like and you always give me such a beautifl smile. I am glad that you are having fun and to know that you are eating well is great as well. Soon you will be there full time and I am sure you will have no more tears when I drop you off.

Friday... what another great day we had... we went to the ecomuseum to look at animals. You were so excited you kept moving your arms up and down and just smiling away. Aunt Sandra and your cousins Marc and Isabelle were there too. Marc was showing you around as Isabelle would just kiss you. I can see you love being with your cousins that is for sure and being outside, another bonus. At the end of our visit, I bought you an owl that made a noise, you kept hugging in the car and kissing it. I think you really enjoyed your day...

What a great week we had together!
We have been having such great weather that we are able to go for walks each day outside and you love it, since you can walk now, you leave the house with a big smile as you are so proud. Thursday, March 10th, you and I went to a sugar shack in St-Eustache, we had so much fun. We visited a zoo that had so many animals, plus it had two baby goats walking around and you were able to feed them. You were so cute to watch as you would life each time you would feed them. Then we went for a nice sleigh ride and we had the front seat so you were standing up the whole time, holding on the the railing tight and just jumping up and down of excitement. And of course we had to finish off the afternoon with " La Tire" on the snow, you loved it so much you kept asking for more. What a wonderful afternoon we had!
Today, being March 11th, it was our last day at Mom and Tot's at Cloverdale. I have to admit that you and I always look forward of going as you Sophie and the games she had. You would always fall asleep on the way home, that his how tired you were. We will that group very much but next week, you will be going to your new garderie call: Le Monde des tous petit and I am sure you will have as much fun there if not more. As this will be your new garderie till you go to school... which I don't want to think about, you are growing so fast my little Alexandre and between you and I, I love each moment..

Well we are having a busy week you and I.....
Monday we went to see the doctors for a check up and the good news is that you gain some weight, you are now at 9.3kg (20.46 pounds) and you are growing perfectly, not that I was worried but it is nice to know when you go and see the doctor and you leave with good news, it is always wonderful to hear. Tuesday, we meet Mamie and we went shopping, we bought you some sandals for the summer which are cars that light up, I thought they were net! Wednesday Uncle Mark came for a visit in the morning for a coffee and Tante Chantal came over in the afternoon to play with you. You had a great day even though you have a cold. You are such a trouper!
And on my last note.... you are now close to 17 months and you have all your 4 molars, 1 tooth on the side and your 4 front teeth on top and the bottom, you are just adorable!

We all went up north for the weekend!! Yup, your uncle Mark and Aunt Cindy asked us to go to the cottage with them. Alexandre it was so much fun. We arrived there on Saturday morning, we chatted for a bit then we decided to go for a nice walk in the woods. We brought your sleigh and we were ready to go, you really enjoyed being pulled by your dad and you were just looking around at the trees, the birds and what was surouding you. We were lucky as it was a nice warm Winter day! after 10 minutes of walking, we realized that you were sleeping. So the fresh air really help you to fall asleep. Once we arrived back at Mark's place, you were still sleeping so we decided to sit on the deck in the back so you could still get some sleep and some fresh air, next thing I knew, your father was sleeping and so was I. You slept for close to 2 hours outside. As we were relaxing in the sun.
What was also fun was the next day, you wanted to go outside but this time we let you walk in the snow with your boots for the first time. You loved it, you even stopped for a short while so you can put your hands in the snow and of course you started to eat the snow. You were so adorable in your winter outfit just standing there. Cindy, Mark and your father and I really enjoyed watching you.

What a fun day it was once again....
We did nothing but have fun today. You slept in till 6:30 which was very nice of you as you normally get up at around 5:30... but that is OK... as I know eventually you will start sleeping in when you will be at least 10 years old, just kidding. ;o)
Today, you showed me that you knew a lot of your animals in one of your books when I ask you where they where. It is wonderful to see you so attentive and so eager to learn. I am looking forward of you talking to us soon. So far you can say; Papa and en bas, as you love playing in the basement. It seems to be really your favorite place. Mind you I don't blame you, there are so many toys and we decorated so bright for you. I have to admit it is fun for us too!

My first Birthday with you! I love it...
It started off by you waking up late, so that was my first birthday gift, then when I came down the stairs, you were holding in your little hands my birthday card as you gladly handed it over to me with a smile. I just loved the card you gave me and you also signed it too! During the day, the doorbell rang and it was a delivery guy delivering me flowers and guess what, they came from you! and they were beautiful!
We had uncle Richard and tante Chantal over for super and to our surprise you gave us another gift, you sat on your high chair the whole time not saying a word, you were on your best behaviour, you were so sweet as you just kept smiling at all of us and sometimes you would just clap your hands for no reason. You are so sweet Alexandre!

What progress you have been doing. It is just amazing. Now that you walk all by yourself you are becoming so independent, you walk everywhere and now you are even holding items in your hand when you walk. It shows that in less then a week, you went by standing up to walking. It is great to watch.
Now lets talk about the stairs.... you had no problem going up the stairs, I think you just loved the challenge. But it was going down...hhmm how do we teach you. But once again, to our surprised we showed you about 3 times and now, you are a pro, you now know how to go up the stairs and now down. You are a fast learner my little Alexandre!

Our last day for 2009
What a great year this has been! We got you! you have been nothing but a joy for us. You make us smile and laugh so much. It is wonderful to see how far you have come in 7 months. You are now standing up and clapping your hands without falling at 15 months, so I am sure you will be walking in no time, you said your first word a few days ago and that was "papa" you say it so softly it is just adorable, but everything you do is adorable.
I can't wait to see what 2010 has to bring us, but I am sure it will lots of new adventure for all three of us and I can't wait.

What a great year this has been! We got you! you have been nothing but a joy for us. You make us smile and laugh so much. It is wonderful to see how far you have come in 7 months. You are now standing up and clapping your hands without falling at 15 months, so I am sure you will be walking in no time, you said your first word a few days ago and that was "papa" you say it so softly it is just adorable, but everything you do is adorable.
I can't wait to see what 2010 has to bring us, but I am sure it will lots of new adventure for all three of us and I can't wait.

Your first Christmas at home Alexandre!
What a few busy days this has been! On the 24th, Christmas Eve, we had your Mamie Nicole, Aunt Nathalie, Uncle Pat, your cousins; Julian, Paolo and we also had Jaqueline, Richard and Katherine with us. It was so much fun! we opened all the gift that they got for you, boy you got spoiled, you received a nice giraffe pillow that you love to snuggle on the couch with now, you got some nice Tommy Hilfiger clothes, and nice Winnie the Pooh truck that lights up and you can sit on and drive by pushing your legs forward and much more. You had no clue what was happening but for me, it was just amazing watching you.
The next day, Christmas morning, we opened our gifts as a family and it was so special, your father made me cry as he gave me the most beautiful card from you. It was so special as he gave you a pen for you to sign the card, you just scribble all over the place, it was perfect! Your father and I gave you a nice "electronic" aquarium that you just loved to watch, a elephant toy, and other little goodies, but no gifts or money can put the joy that you have given me in my heart. I don't like to admit this but now that you are 15 months old, you are not my baby anymore but my little man. I love you so much Alexandre.

Your first Christmas at Uncle Luc's house!
Boy did we have fun, as soon as we arrived all your cousins wanted to hold you and play with you. Once I took off your winter coat so you can play with them, you were just smiling from ear to ear. I honestly have to say that you are loved very much by your cousins as much as you love them.
Aunt Sandra was so happy too see you too! You jumped in her arms as soon as you saw her. She is a good aunt that is for sure! Aunt Nathalie, Uncle Pat, Paolo, Julian and Stefanie arrived later on that day and once again, you were so happy to see all of them. Mamie was also there and she had you in her arms 75% of the time - lol - you just love her. Grand-papa Guy was there too, you gave him a big smile that just melted his heart.
Once it was time to give out the gifts, you were so sweet, we sat you down on your chair and you were just sitting there playing with a musical tree waiting and watching everything that was going around you. You never cried or wanted to leave your chair, you were just so content. But once you saw the nice cars that you got from Santa, you wanted to play with them right away and you did. By 7:45 you were getting tired so we put you in a stroller and just walked around inside the house and withing 10 minutes, you were sound asleep. You only woke up once then withing seconds you were sleeping again. We got home at 10:30 and in bed you went without a fuss. What a great little man you are Alexandre and to top it all off, you slept till 7:30am the next day, now that was a nice gift you gave mommy and daddy
Now we have 2 more Christmas events left, one at home on the 24th with family and friends and the other will be of course the 25th, we will also be going to see your Grand-maman Fernande and Grand-papa René, it will be another fun day for all of us!

You will never believe what you did today... you took 4 steps on your own! Yahoo! I was so proud of you, I kept laughing and saying Yahoo! Your reaction was priceless, you kept smiling away a tried again and again to do more steps but I guess you were getting tired as you were doing 4 steps on your own, then 3, then 2, then you just stopped. It was so much fun to watch you as I am sure you had fun watching me as I kept cheering you on! I am so proud of you Alexandre! Yahoo!!

Our first family vacation in Cuba....
What a great week we had! We all went to Bluebay in Cayo Coco (Cuba). We had a beautiful suite that was right next to the beach and a perfect location for peace and quiet during the evening. And I have to admit that you were such the "attraction" everyone loved your smile and the way you just pointed at everything and would just say; uh!
We mainly stayed by the pool as there was one area that was perfect for you, you would just sit in 1/2 of inch of water and just splash, smile and laugh away, as everyone was looking at you, they were just saying; what a joy he is to watch! always smiling and just having fun in the water.
We did go to the beach a few times, but I wanted to make sure you did not have to much sun as even though we had wind, it was still hot, but you did enjoy sitting on the beach and watching those little waives hit you. We would also pick you up so you can see all the fish that was swimming near by and yes once again you would point your little finger and say: uh! LOL. There was not one day that you did not make us laugh. Alexandre you are such a joy!
Now for the plane ride, going there, you slept for close to 1 1/2 hours and did not make a sound when you were awake, it was wonderful. Coming back, you slept for 1 hour but we made sure that we had all your books and other toys to keep you busy and you were great, even for the landing you did not say boo. You are such a great little traveler. I can't wait for our next trip!

Your 1st B-day party...
Today was a fun day, you spent the part of the day playing with your cousin; Victoria, Marc, Mathew and Isabelle at your uncle Luc's and aunt Sandra's house. Then we went to Mamie Nicole house as your aunt Nathalie and uncle Pat were there with your other cousin; Paolo and Julian. I have to admit everyone loved playing with you. As you give them smiles all the time.
After that we went to our neighbor's house Grumps and aunt Charchar for her daughters Raeya's 9th B-day. It was so much fun as you had 5 young women all around you. You were the center of attraction. And for the first time you had some chips and of course you loved it. You just love to eat... lol. Once the party was over you left with balloons and even a loot bag. It was your first Birthday Party and it was great!

OK, where is the pause button as you are getting to big to fast! I truly believe that you have grown a few inches since your birthday party. You are getting so tall it is unbelievable, I have to admit that I love watching you grow. You are starting to understands so many things and you are starting to say a few words. As per example cheese in French is fromage so you keep saying age and when your father gets home, you want to say papa but it comes out baba, but not the same pronunciation as your bottle "BABA". Mama is slowly coming out too. You are such a joy Alexandre and everyone just loves being with you as you make everyone feel so special.

Your Birthday Party!!
What a day it was! We couldn't of asked for a better day. Some of us were afraid that the weather was going to be cold and rainy but I knew better, as I asked Chester to bring us a nice warm sunny day, and he did... boy I just love my Chester, I wish you would have meet him Alexandre as you would have just loved him...
Now about your big day. Would you believe that 68 people came to wish you a happy birthday, yup 68 people and that is not including the ones that sent you emails and called you!
What your father and I did is that we rented a hall and decorated it with blue and yellow ribbons and about 50 blue and yellow balloons for the floor and 50 helium as well, so you did not miss any balloons whats so ever. Then we rented a clown/magician. He was great, he made everyone laugh even the grown ups and he made all the children participate in his act. He even had 3 doves and a rabbit, he was great. And once he was finished he made everyone balloons for them to bring home. His name as Joey the Magician, so we will need to hire him again for when you will be 5 years old. We also rented a big blow up bouncy game, it was about 16 feet long and 17 feet high. You just loved it and so did all your guess.
Your uncle Brian and Aunt France took care of cooking everything and preparing everything in the kitchen. There is one thing we did not have to worry about and that was the food. We had: boeuf bourgignong, rice, pasta, tomato sauce, ratatouille, hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, chicken wings, chips, chicken nuggets and much more, so everyone was full once they left the party.
Now lets talk about the gifts... you got spoiled once again. You received so many great gifts, like your rocking giraffe and your truck that will teach you how to walk real fast, your farm animal magnets, your DVDs of Baby Einstein, your Little People toys, your Tunka soft truck, I can go on and on but I won't as there is way to many to mention. But there is one that I have to say is very special. It is your Grand-papa Guys drinking cup. He had it when he was 3 years old and it got pass on to you. It is pure silver and now has your name on it and I hope that you will pass it on to your children as it is such a beautiful air loom.
Now, I have to face the fact that you are getting to be a big boy. You stand up so fast by your self and I can see in your eyes that you are determine to walk soon and you are so good at going up the stairs now by yourself, it is just amazing how a fast learner you are and how iger you want to learn more. You are just wonderful Alexandre. There is not one day you don't but a smile on my face as I love you so much. You have now completed me.

What a bid day September 22nd was. We went to the justice of the peace and got your name legalized! You are officially Alexandre Nam-Miron Proulx. It was a great day as Mamie Nicole was there, Grand-papa Guy, Grand-maman Fernande et Grand-papa René.
After the hearing with the judge, we all went to a Chinese buffet and celebrate as a family. It was wonderful to have all your grand-parents with you.

Oh boy... in 8 days you will be a year old... I am not ready for you to grow up! I see how much you have changed since we brought you home, you are so big now! you even have 7 teeth and love to bite my fingers when I give you food hahaha, you are just so adorable!
Today we discovered a new place for us to go to; it is called Fundomondo and you get to play inside, so if it rains, we will just go there. I have to admit, I really like the place, it has toys and activities for all ages and you can't get hurt! you played none stop for 1 1/2 hours, I am sure you would have continued but we had to go back home for your nap. I am looking forward of going there again with you next week!

You are growing up so fast!!
Now that the pool is close, we go to the park each morning and meet other parents with there children, it is so much fun to see, as they come over and share there toys with you since you are still the smallest there. It is so much fun just watching you as you are discovering so many things each day. You love playing in the sand with a shovel and you love just crawling around so fast to discover other objects around you. My favorite part is when we arrive, I always put you on the swing to have some one on one time with you before I share you with everyone else ;o)
There are more thing that you have started to do for the past few days; you play pick-a-boo by yourself, you get up so fast from your crawling position and you stand up so proud and you are slowly moving side by side on the coffee table. As long as you are holding on, you are fine!
Let's talk about food... hahaha, it seems to be your favorite subject. You now eat what ever we are eating and you get mad when we don't share with you, you are too funny! We started you on regular milk twice a day but still give you formula, I just want to make sure you get all your vitamines ;o)
Now, Daddy and Mommy are organising your 1st B-day party, oh boy.... it seems that there will be a lot of people. We have a few surprise for everyone one, we hired a clown and rented a big blow up game that all the kids can play in. Now I am hoping to have nice weather, so I have been asking Chester to help me on that one.

A family Day...
Your father took the day off work today to be with us. They were announcing nice weather so we decided to go to Oka Beach. It was a nice day when we got there so we played in the sand with you, then we went for a bit to eat at the restaurant. Once we were finished, we went back to the beach and put on your bathing suit and you were out of control... you wanted so much to be in the water. Your arms were just flapping away and you had a big smile on your face. You were so adorable. Once you were in the water, you were just sitting there looking at the small waives coming in, next thing we knew, you were crawling to them and you were getting deeper deeper and you had your mouth wide open and you were just smiling away. You have no fear Alexandre, not yet anyway.... you are too funny!
Once we got home we had dinner but for some reason, you seem to always want our food, so your dad had some pasta put aside for you and for the first time, as you were standing up and holding to the table, you were actually walking side to side. You were not letting go until you got the pasta, and you did! you are so determined, it is great to see! I have a feeling that you will be walking in no time. Boy oh boy, where is the time going? ;o)
We are in August already and you have changed so much... you are now determine to stand up, you are developing your our little character which is adorable and the faces you make, just makes us laugh so much. Alexandre, you are such a joy!
Would you believe that after being here for only 3 months, we had our first family vacation. We went to Old Orchard Beach, it was so much fun. Mamie came with us and you just loved it as she slept with you every night and let me tell you, she was in heaven, she would just watch you sleep as you are such an angel.
Even though the water was cold at the ocean, that did not stop you, you were in your glories, you loved the waves and playing in the sand. We even brought you from home a small pool for you to play in at the beach and you loved it! Also before I forget, you were such a great traveller, Mamie played with you a lot in the car and she feed you and you were soooo good! Also, I have to admit that you started to like our food that week, you had pancakes, bagels, ham, potatoes and even garlic pasta. I think you just like food period LOL.

What a great week we are having!!
Monday July 20th, you and I went to the water slides in St-Sauveur, it was so much fun, Chantal and Lucie were there and Lucie had her twin girls, it was so much fun seeing you enjoy yourself in the pool and on the lazy river. At the end of the day, you were falling asleep in the pool, so I figured it was time to leave ;o) - We went to visit your grand-papa Guy, we had dinner with him then you had your first bath there, you did not mind at all, you were such a big boy ;o)
Wednesday, July 22nd, we went to visit your aunt Nathalie for lunch, it was so much fun, as everyone just loved you!, then we went to Mamie's house for dinner so it was another busy day for us.
So today, being Thursday, we took it easy, you had your last swimming lesson and you pass with flying colours! Your swimming teacher even wrote that she was very impressed for such a little guy how well you did and wants you to continue your swimming lessons, as we will for sure! Mamie was also there to see you get your first report card. We were all proud of you! and for the rest of the day, we just relaxed in the water!
You are so much fun Alexandre and you give me so much pleasure! I love you to pieces!

Mamie was also there to see you get your first report card. We were all proud of you! and for the rest of the day, we just relaxed in the water!

You are full of surprises....
When you went for your morning nap, you woke up standing in your crib holding on with your two little hands, and you look so proud! of course I got nervous so your dad will be putting the mattress down a level. You are growing up to fast!
Also, we went to visit your aunts Pauline and Leona and once again you got spoiled! they gave you your first Mega Truck with Lego's and you love it! plus you received books, a stuff dog and a beautiful knitted outfit, which I can't wait for you to wear! They love you so much!
And I can't forget to mentioned that you now have 2 more teeth growing on top!

We had a great day Sunday July 5th for your baptism....
The weather has been so bad lately, rain, rain and more rain, but for some reason, on your baptism day, the sun was out. I am sure it was Chester who brought you the sunshine, as he is always watching over you, that I am sure!
We had a beautiful ceremony at St-Luke's church, then we went to your grand-mother Nicole for the small reception. Everyone was there, all you aunt and uncles and even Mark and Cindy were there too to celebrate your day. It was great! You received such beautiful gifts, you got spoiled once again, even Chester made you a gift, he did it when he was with us, it is a beautiful bear made out of wood, I will hang it on your wall in your bedroom so you can see it each day.
I also have to add that you are eager to walk, you like when we pick you up from the floor and you put both your feet on the ground, it won't be long that you will be walking all the time! Maybe on your birthday? September 26th.... hhmm ;o)

Boy we did a lot of things these couples of days....
June 30th, you got your first hair cut, and you were so brave, not even a tear! the hairdresser was impress, but I know how brave you are!
July 1st, we went to your first Canada day parade, it was so much fun, we met up with LeAnne and her family, Ron and his daughter was there too. It was so nice seeing them as they have not meet you yet! and of course the all loved you ;o) - then your father and I went to the fair in Pierrefonds and won you a stuff animal. You seemed very happy. It was a fun day as we finished it off at the pool and a neighbourhood BBQ!

Another great day with you!!
Your aunt Francine came and spent the whole afternoon with us, we all went swimming, it was great! you love the water and it shows that's for sure! Also would you believe you started to crawl without your tummy touching the ground, you did about 2 steps each time we would put you on the ground. You are very determine little boy. How I love watching you grow, but don't go to fast OK.... ;o)

We has such a great day yesterday. You and I went to the park and you loved the swing then we went home for lunch as you were getting hungry. After lunch was fun too, we went to the pool here at Woodlands, first there was not a lot of people, next thing we knew, it was tones of people and you were the start. Your father and I bought a floatable device for you to sit in and you just love it and all the kids were around you and making you smile. It was fun to see. And you swam too! once I took you out of your floatable device, I held you tight and you were just kicking away! You made everyone laugh!
We stayed at the pool from 1:00pm till 4:30pm, you even had a nap at the pool too! you were sitting in your stroller in he shade and once you were finished your milk, you were sound asleep. What a day we had! I love it.. and there will be more days like these I am sure!
Today, it is St-Jean Baptiste and the whole family will be going to Pointe-Claire for the day activities, I can't wait as it will be another fun day for you! I just love having you around.

Your first father's day with your Dad...
It was so much fun Alexandre... you and I went shopping and bought so much stuff for your dad, he loved the picture frames that we got him for his office and his own photo album that has over 150 pictures of when we went to get you till now, we got him t-shirts for the summer, a bathing suit, golf shirt and a much and t-shirt with your picture on it. Dad was in heaven.
I just to share a secret with you, you have the best dad ever! - he loves you so much and loves to play with you and is always there for you too! he is great! We all make such a great team!

We had a busy few days!!
Sunday June 13th we celebrated your mamie Nicole B-day, she turn 70 years old on May 21 but since we were in Vietnam Mamie really wanted to wait till you got home to celebrate it with her. We had lots of fun, you were so good, mind you, you are always good, you were just smiling with everyone and some guess did hold you and you did not mind at all, you just smiled and laughed. They all thought you were amazing... Once the guess all left, you went swimming in uncle Luc's and aunt Sandra's poll. Your dad brought you in and let me tell you, all your cousins had a blast with you. You were splashing away, laughing so loud. It was just great to see!
Today being June 16th, we left for the day, you and I went to visit your grand-papa Guy, he lives up north, it took us 35 minutes to get there, it was great. He had so much fun with you, he was singing to you, holding you a lot, you can tell he was happy we went for a visit. Our next visit with him will be at a water park near by, it is made especially for children your age, so that will be fun! I can't wait to go with you!
Tonight your father and I brought you to the park and put you on a baby swing, oh my goodness, you were laughing so loud and having fun! We have to do this more often! it was great.
And the week just began - LOL -

We are having so much fun with you!!
We are now learning how to clap your hands together, and you find it so funny, you keep laughing each time we do it and when I take your hands to show you, your legs are kicking and you give us such a happy smile, it is just amazing. What a joy you are!
You now have 2 bottom teeth, there are not out 100% but I have a feeling in no time they will be out. Then it will be the top teeth, but don't worry, I have so many teething rings and frozen face clothes, you will be just fine ( I hope ) ;o)
I also brought you to mommy's work, Future Electronics this week and boy did they love you! everything thought you were so adorable, and I have to agree with them. As we eat lunch at the office and for the first time, you had carrots, you seemed to like them very much. So each day, you will have a different orange vegetable, tomorrow it will be butternut squash - yummy!!

Well, I just wanted to let you know that you are doing well, we are slowly getting a routine, I am starting to know when your "nap times" are. I have to admit that sometimes you fight it, but the moment I rub your back and tell you how much I love you, you slowly fall asleep.
Mamie Nicole comes almost everyday, she is great, she is helping me a lot. I am happy she lives 3 minutes away. I can also tell that you like it when she comes as you always have a big smile for her.
Today, I will be going to the Dollard Civic Center, as I want you to take swimming lessons, that will be fun!

It has been 10 days that you have been home now and it has been great. You had your first Doctor appointment Monday, May 25th and the doctor was amazed of how well you are doing, she was very impress! We will be going back in two weeks for your shoots and we will see after that.
You are still on formula and cereal for now, but she will tell me when you can start eating solid food ;o) - then I will ask Mamie Nicole to make food for you as she is a great cook!
You have been getting a lot of visitors especially Mamie Nicole, she comes almost everyday to see you. You are just so adorable that she doesn't want to miss a moment with you plus she is helping me a lot too!

What a long flight... but we are home....
Well after leaving Vietnam, we flew to Hong Kong, then Toronto them home. Alexandre you were great! You did not cry that much, only when you were tired or hungry, but we kept you busy, we walked a lot on the plane and sometimes you would take power naps. But again, you were great!
When we got to the airport in Montreal, there was so many people to great you!! We had: your aunts; Nathalie, Sandra and France, your Uncles: Luc and Carl, your Grand-Parents, Mamie Nicole, Mamie Fernande, Grand-papa Guy and Grand papa René. Then you had your cousin Marc that had a stuff animal for you, and your new friends: Mark, Rob, Debbie, Cindy, Irene. What a great welcoming you had. Then we all went home for bagels, fresh fruits and of course we had wine to celebrate!! - Welcome home Alexandre!

Well now it is time to relax, all the paper work has been done, we are just waiting for the passports for you, Vietnamese and Canadian. Once we get those, we are on our way home... so it can take another 8 days, so now, we will be going to the zoo and getting a taste of your wonderful county.

Just a quick update ;o)
We are doing well. You were a bit agitated yesterday, but it is normal, you were having little panic attacks that is for sure. When I feed you, you are so happy, especially when you see your bottle or your cereal, but I need to feed you fast as you panics, I guess you are scared that I will take your food away, but I promise you I won't ;o) - we have a whole life time together!
It is hot and muggy here, but really, we are doing fine. We have a small routine in the morning and if we stick to it, it will help us during the day. Alexandre, you are just a happy child and loves to be in our arms.
By the way, you wears size 9 /12 months so I am glad with what I brought, as I had the right size for you!

Oh boy... this is so much fun LOL - LOL- we are all doing fine!! We have been running around for the past few days that I have no clue what time / day it is... honest LOL, but I just know that I love being a mom and especially your mom!
The Ceremony was fast and great, but Alexandre, for me the ceremony was just to sign documents, I felt that I was your mom the moment I picked you up at the orphanage.
You are doing great by the way, it is just real hard to keep a shedual right now as we have not stopped... It is just wonderful!
Alexandre, you were never alone when we went to pick you up as there were 4 families adopting at the same time, so we are all helping each other out. It is great. Katherine is the oldest she is 2 years old and is very scared, but she is coming around and it is great to see, then you have Tia, she is close to 2 but is a little handicap, not to sure if she will walk 100% but she is an angel, she doesn't smile just yet but we are working on it. Her father Claude is going great as he came alone to pick her up as his wife stayed home with there 2 other children. Then you have Sue, single mom, she and I are just having a blast as her daughter is the one that you were posing with on the last set of pictures we received, she is the same age as you and comes from the same orphanage, so it is great that you had a little play mate ;o)

We had a wonderful day! Alexandre you are just great, you loves to be held and loves to cuddle. You are eating well and you look very alert and happy!
Today, you went to the pool for the first time and loved the water, you were just splashing away like crazy and having fun!
Tomorrow will be a long day as we are "officially adopting you, so it is a 3 hours drive to get there and a 3 hour drive to come back, but luckily you seem not to mind the car ride and you do sleep ;o). Lets hope you do it again tomorrow ;o)

The "Bus" ride was about 3 hours to go and get you as you were in Vaug Tau and we were staying in HMCM, but let me tell you, once you were in our arms, it was like time was never a factor! You were so happy, you came to us right away, with a big smile as I was crying so much and so was your Dad. On the way back to the hotel, your home for 3 weeks, you slept in my arms to whole time. You were just amazing.
When we got home we did a small treatment for your skin, which did not seem to bother you at all and next thing I knew you feel asleep in his fathers arms, it was so amazing to see.
Your crib was in the master bedroom, next to me, I had your milk ready in case you would wake up. The Nounou gave us your shedual, it looks like you were an easy baby but the Nounou did tell us that you has a character - LOL great just like his me, LOL.

We made it!!!
We are now in our hotel room.... we got here last night after a few flights but, Alexandre the flight went so fast, it was great. I guess we are just so excited to come and get you!
We will be picking you up tomorrow, but the ceremonie will be held only on Wednesday. We were told that you are a bit sick with diarrhea, but that's ok, we have everything you need here to make you feel better!
So, all to say that now we are really ready as in less then 24 hours, you will be in our arms as you are already in our hearts!!
Can't wait till tomorrow!

April 18th 2009 - Great news!
Great news, it seems that we are 99% booked to leave May 1st and back home May 20th. A day before Mamie Nicole's B-day. What a gift you will be... The funny part is that we told her on her Birthday 2 years ago that we were adopting you and now, almost to the date, you will be here.

April 9th 2009 - WE got the call!
Hi Alexandre.... guess what... you will be in our arms in no time.... I got the call today at 11:50am when I was at work, it was Nadia telling me to call Dorinda as she had our departure date. We will be leaving April 28th, Yahoo! we can't wait!!

I am so excited... today I just received an email from Monica, she is actually in Vietnam picking up her son Jonah at the same orphanage where you are and I was so lucky, Monica was able to ask someone to take pictures of you for me! Alexandre, you are getting so big! I love your hair! Now I really can't wait to have you in my arms!

Hi Alexandre
Today, your father and I went to an amazing celebration with TDH, we went to celebrate TET, yes, your New Year, even though it was in January and it is the year of the Ox, TDH did a amazing job in organizing this event, I am sure there was about 80 families. I can't wait to bring you next time! There are so many people that just can't wait to meet you!
Dorinda told us that she is hoping that we get a phone call within a few weeks for us to go and pick you up, we can't wait, we are all set and ready to go! ;o) - all your clothes, toys, blankets are all packed. Now we are just missing you... ;o)

Today was a fun day, I went to the hardware store to get you some shelves for your playroom, I can't wait to start putting them up with your dad, it will be such a fun playroom once we are done, the colours are so bright and fun!! and the toys you have, oh boy!! just can't wait for you to get home so we can start playing with them all!
I also saw Dorinda this weekend at another small meeting we had and she told me that we should be going to get you in March.. Yahoo!

Wow, a third baby shower
Talk about being loved already!! Alexandre, my co-workers surprise me on February 10th with a baby shower, Oh my goodness, you got so much stuff. You got a winter jacket, sleepers, toys for you to play with, a beautiful frog humidifier and lots more... I can't believe you got 3 baby showers! now we are almost set, meaning we almost have everything, I just need to purchase a few other things and we will be 100% ready, mind you, I don't thing we will ever have everything LOL - but never the less, you will still be spoiled and loved!

Februray 8th - I had my second babyshower for you!
Oh boy, you are going to be spoiled!! Your aunt Nathalie surprise me with a baby shower at a restaurant called Carmine's - would you believe that we were about 35 people! so you know what that means! 35 gifts and them some! - I can't name you all your gifts but here is a few, you got a glow warm, a personalized piggy bank, personalized hanger, peek a block toys, a stroller, bath toys, a magical ball that lights up, a brass birth certificate, 30 DVD of Walt Disney movies, ocean wonders for your crib, tickle-me Elmo, stand up giraffe game and clothes and money and lost more.... now I just need you here so your father and I can play with everything together! we will have so much fun!
Alexandre, you are loved by so many people, and I just can't wait for you to meet them all as they can't wait to meet you with open arms!

Februray 3rd - I had my first babyshower for you!
Hi Alexandre.
Well, today, I went to my local bar called Marlow's to meet up with a lot of my good friends. But this time they had a baby shower for me, you received full of goodies! a beautiful hand knitted blue and white blanket for Donna and Marcel, Claude and Brenda gave you a Canadian hockey team jersey and a matching baseball hat, Mena got you a nice green blanket to match a fitted green sheet for your crib and she gave you and a nice cook book for me to make you great food! Fernano, he gave you a monitor with a night light, I just love it!- yup, you are started to get spoiled by all my friends and soon you will meet them all as they can't wait to meet you!!

December 21st 2008 - We got the phone call!
Hi Alexandre,
Your father and I were watching a movie when the phone rang at around 9:30 pm, I did not recognize the number, but did the voice.... it was Dorinda, telling me that you were waiting for us in Vung Tau, and that you will be ready for us in about 3-4 months. Alexandre, I can't tell you how much I have been dreaming of this phone call! Your father and I can't believe that you will be with us in no time!! right now, you are 2 1/2 months old and you are just perfect. Your birthday is September 26th 2008. You have been at the orphanage for 3 weeks now and you are very alert. Now I just can't wait to meet you and show you how much we just love you.

Your father and I went to a meeting on October 13th that TDH was holding concerning our trip, as you know we are the next to be called so we want to be prepared in every way ;o) The course was given by Thierry Tranvanthoan and Dre Charo Rodriguez, who both have adopted from Vietnam, in the south region. We really loved all the information they gave us about what to expect, what to do, where to go etc... now, it is only a question of time that we that phone call from Dorinda... We can't wait to have you in our arms!

Your father and I just came back from the annual Pique-Nique Terre Des Hommes do once a year and it was great!! Dorinda and her husband was there and so was Twee. Twee works for TDH in Vietnam for years and she takes care off all the orphanages from North to South. She is just amazing! But the best part is that I got to talk to her a bit one on one. She told me that your teddy bear Chester is safe and sound in Vietnam and is waiting for you, she also told me that your father and I are next to be called.... WOW.. so that means that we can get a phone call any day now. We are so excited!!

Hi Alexander,
Well, I have two good news to share with you today, first Chantal, Marie-Felix's mom is going to get her in Vietnam in two months. She will be from the south region, Vau Thug. Your father and I are so happy for them as we know that Marie-Felix will be so loved, the second good news is that your grand-father Guy made you a beautiful wooden stool with hearts on each side. I can't wait for you to see it and for you to use it when you will be big.
Everyone loves you so much, even though you are not here yet. We are patiently waiting for you with open arms my little one!

I got you a gift.... your father and I went to Built-A-Bear and got you your very own bear! it is so soft, I can't wait for you to see it. And the best part of it is when you squeeze his right paw he will speak to you. I can't wait for you to see it!
Dorinda is in Vietnam right now and will only be back August 6th but she told me to give her the bear, so now it is in Vietnam and they are just waiting to give it to you. I am hoping you will get it soon!
We named it Chester, as I figured that everyone should have a Chester in there life!
